We have two hotel block options at the Canopy Hotel and Residence Inn. The two hotels are next-door to each other, centrally located in downtown Jersey City. Both hotels are next to the Grove Street Path Station and the Pedestrian Mall in Jersey City near restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops.

The Westin and the DoubleTree by Hilton are located right across the street from Battello.
The Hyatt Regency and Hyatt House are located on the waterfront of Jersey City with views to the Manhattan skyline, approximately a 20 minute walk, 10 minute drive, or one Path stop to Battello. Both hotels are next to the Exchange Place Path Station.
If you would like to stay in Manhattan, neighborhoods on the west side of Manhattan have the easiest access to Path Train lines into Jersey City (FiDi, Tribeca, Greenich Village, the West Village, or Lower Midtown West).
Jersey City has strict short-term rental regulations, so Airbnbs are not widely available. However, if you do find an Airbnb, we recommend staying in one of the neighborhoods in downtown Jersey City or Hoboken.

Travel
Flying and Airports
If you are flying, the easiest airport to fly into is Newark Airport. Newark is about a 15-30 minute cab ride (depending on traffic) into downtown Jersey City. There is also NJ transit available from Newark Airport to Newark Penn Station, where you can transfer to the Path train.
Driving
If you are driving into Jersey City, there is street parking or parking garages. The Canopy Hotel partners with a parking garage that charges $29 a night to park, which is comparable to other parking garages in the area. Street parking is free over the weekend (in most areas of the city) on Fridays after 6pm through Monday at 9am. You can usually find a street parking space within a few blocks of your destination.
Train
If taking NJ Transit or Amtrak, trains to Newark Penn Station, Hoboken Train Terminal, or New York Penn Station have transfer available to the Path Train to downtown Jersey City.
Path Train
The Path train operates like a subway and connects to NJ Transit and the NYC Subway system. The same metro card used for the NYC Subway can be used on the Path Train. Two Path lines operate through downtown Jersey City at three stations: Grove Street, Exchange Place, and Newport. The lines go to the World Trade Center and the west side of Manhattan from Greenich Village to Midtown. The Canopy Hotel and Residence Inn are located at the Grove Street Path Station. Battello is located about a five minute walk from the Newport Station.
